Celebrities back Beatbullying wristbands for anti-bullying week

As anti-bullying week reaches its sixth successful year on 16 November, the UK’s leading bullying prevention charity Beatbullying reveals an all-new range of resources for schools.

Founded in 1999, Beatbullying empowers young people to lead anti-bullying campaigns in schools and local communities as well as re-educating schools and changing the behaviour of young people that bully.
This year special focus will be given to cyber bullying and will give schools a chance to re-energise their bullying prevention strategy. Ellie Farrell, speaking on behalf of Beatbullying, explains: “The answer isn’t to limit digital technology usage but to tackle the root of the problem, the bullying itself.”
Beatbullying has developed a selection of wristbands, lesson plans, assembly presentations and sticker packs. The intention is to engage both students and teachers with the issue, helping both to work together to overcome bullying.

Schools can buy wristbands in bulk and sell on to pupils. All wristbands cost 50 pence each and can be bought in packs of 50 or 100 with sticker packs priced at 25 pence a sheet. Free downloadable lesson plans and assembly packs are also available online from 14 November.
