Prime Minister David Cameron has admitted that he sympathises with parents in central London trying to find a good state school for their children

David Cameron had stated he would like his children to go through the state sector, but is “terrified” by the prospect of finding a suitable state secondary school for his children in central London.
Although Mr Cameron’s six year old daughter Nancy already goes to state primary school, he has admitted sympathy with parents trying to chose:
"In some parts of the country, there isn’t a choice of good schools. That’s why people break the bank to send their children private."
In response to Mr Cameron’s comments, Westminster City Council has argued that state schools in London are delivering “first-rate education” but still acknowledged there is still room for improvement:
“We are proud that several of our secondary schools are considered outstanding by Ofsted and that our nearest primary schools to Downing Street are also both rated outstanding.
“…we will continue to strive to build on our success to date."
